The project: Eurispes
Marco Omizzolo is a Eurispes sociologist and president of the Tempi Moderni cooperative. He studies migration flows in relation to labour dynamics and the relationship with the mafias in order to build a project of positive transformation.
For years, he has denounced the exploitation of Indian labourers in the fields of the province of Latina and the mafia that infests that labour market.
For his work fighting against employers’ systems, exploitation, trafficking and corporalism, he has been living for years under surveillance by the police and has been awarded by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella the honour of Cavaliere dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana.
